Louisiana Economic Development

Product/Service

As part of a multi-year relationship with Louisiana Economic Development (LED), Vinformatix has developed two enterprise-level web portal platforms to support economic growth.

Louisiana Job Connection (LJC) is a G2B employee recruitment service that matches individual applicants with positions posted by businesses across the state. The portal seamlessly integrates 100+ public- and private-sector systems, along with third-party machine-learning technologies. Its responsive user-friendly interface is easily accessed via the web and mobile devices.

LJC incorporates 16 different landing pages tailored to specific industries and categories of applicants. The embedded communications framework sends thousands of customized emails daily based on business rules and applicant interactions to provide a richer experience for users. The system also provides LED with data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and messages. To date, LJC has over 90,000 users and has created more than 3 million matches between job seekers and employers in Louisiana.

Based on this success, LED asked Vinformatix to build a related B2B initiative, the Louisiana Business Connection. This new portal connects small Louisiana businesses—including woman-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises—with large prime contractors to promote economic growth and inclusiveness. The system matches project-specific requirements from the large contractors with registered small businesses that meet the criteria, facilitating communication and partnership between the firms.

Like LJC, the Louisiana Business Connection integrates numerous private-sector systems and machine learning. It provides for secure user registration and data collection and generates analytics for LED to measure the effectiveness of B2B matching efforts. Launched in 2017, the system currently includes nearly 1,300 registered businesses.
