The Challenge


A public sector firm, had an immediate need for a Director of Total Rewards. This was a newly created role with a lot of internal visibility and candidates had to get the “buy-in” from a very diverse leadership team with more than 12 divisions.

Our client needed to find someone with proven progressive human resource experience. This individual needed to also have an expertise in managing large health care budgets and complex health, leave, wellness and retirement programs. The ideal candidate would also need to be an exact culture fit.

We presented a slate of qualified candidates across a broad range of complex health, leave, wellness and retirement programs experience. After interviewing several candidates, we helped our client identify “the one” – someone who was not only bring an expertise in the benefits discipline, but who was the perfect culture fit and who received a unanimous “yes” from the leadership team.
