Case Study

Case Study

The AT&T skyscraper and adjacent support building in midtown Atlanta are high profile and iconic. The high-rise structure stands over 600' tall and serves as the regional headquarters of AT&T Southeast. The adjacent support building is an eight-story structure that hosts an active data center. This complicated 107,000SF reroofing project was implemented in September 2016.

Challenges included rigorous security, tight deadlines, a failing roof system with inadequate drainage, occupied buildings, and extremely sensitive equipment. With only two freight elevators, both of which only reached the 46th floor of a 48-story building, and limited access due to security, power, and work stoppage requirements, efficient movement of people and materials were critical. This entire project delivered ahead of schedule and within budget with no safety issues and no interruptions.

The AT&T 675 West Peachtree Street Project was awarded the 2018 Gold Circle Workmanship Award, the highest honor in the roofing industry for the United States.
