Customization Onsite Events - Increasing Customer Experience

Speck Products, a global manufacturer of consumer mobile accessories designed for the protection of tablets, smart phones, laptops and watches.  

Product/Service

Speck Products manufactures a grab tab product that is similar to a Pop Socket concept, however, can adapt to any smart phone.  Currently being printed with various designs in China, Speck Products was seeking a new solution to print in house short run orders as well as offer this service at trade show events.  This would ultimately enhance the customer experience at trade shows and position Speck products into the mass customization space.  

LogoJET provided a complete turnkey solution that included a custom tray to fit 35 Grab Tab products per print job, paired with the UVx40R UV direct to substrate printer to print directly onto the grab tab.  

Speck Products offered attendees the ability to design their own grab tab with a select number of images available combined with their full name printed on the grab tab.  LogoJET provided a variable data print software that created print batches of all names to be printed effeciently, as well as a LogoJET technician onsite to operate and ensure the program was a success.  

The end result was over 3,000 grab tabs printed at the 5 day event with increased media coverage about the onsite customization program.  Attendees left their booth with on the spot customized grab tab that expressed their personality and name on the product.  


Speck Products will continue to deploy the printer with their team that is now fully trained to operate and maintain the printer for future events.
